Beautiful You!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

By far, the best bang for your buck I’ve come across in the cleansing water world is Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water. It’s typically around $7 to $8 at most stores. Micellar water has tiny cleansing agents (micelles) that act like a magnet to lift dirt and makeup from your face. The micelles do a great job of removing makeup, even waterproof mascara, with minimal effort on your part. The Garnier formula has absolutely no fragrance and is excellent for all skin types. My skin feels lightly softened after use. It's a win-win!

Equate Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Moisturizer

I used to use the Olay night cream, but after trying this, I'm sold. It seems to be just as moisturizing as the Olay, and you can't beat the price. It makes my skin feel very soft, but not greasy, and I have noticed my red blotches are fading.

L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation

Since I have been in menopause, one of the lovely side-effects is that my face seems to get more red, especially with the hot flashes - oh joy. I have been looking for a redness concealer, but most were not very effective. This product finally does the job! It feels very creamy and smooths out my complexion, and best of all, it all but eliminates the redness. I sometimes combine it with a little bit of a Mary Kay foundation so it's not so matte.

Sonia Kashuk Dewy Luxe Lip & Cheek Balm

This sort of unusual product is the best thing yet for my cheeks! It is by Sonia Kashuk, which used to be sold at Target, but they are discontinuing it unfortunately. I found it on Amazon at the link below. I dislike powder blush, and some of the liquids don't stay on very well, but this one lasts all day. It also doubles as a lovely lip tint that stays put.

NYX Lingerie Matte Lipstick

I bought a set of these at Macy's a while ago, not knowing that they were matte. Initially disappointed with my purchase, I started to use these lipsticks, and found I really liked their texture, and staying power. I want a lipstick that will stand up to my constant lip licking and smacking and it does. (I know, TMI!) Doesn't hardly need a lip liner to look finished...

L'Oreal Extraordinary Transforming Oil in Cream

I have rather wavy, coarse hair, so I'm forever looking for a leave-in product that doesn't weigh my hair down, and this fits the bill. Lovely shine, and it tames my split ends without leaving oily residue.

Marc Anthony Strictly Curls

Love this curl lotion! If I scrunch my hair with a diffuser, it can curl up pretty nicely, and this product really finishes off and separates the curls.
